The staff and breakfast of the hotel. There was nearby Harry Ramsden's to grab something to eat...

Central but quiet location. Minutes from beachfront. Dining rooms had nice outlook over Lower Gardens. Attentive service in restaurant and bar. Rooms and general areas were nicely decorated, clean and tidy.
My single room was on the small side, but it was light and airy, so a niggle rather than a complaint.

Its was clean tidy and close to all facilities no stag hen parties allowed very quiet and relaxed during evenings
The catering waiting staff that met the customers did not all understand English, and had to be spoken to slowley so that they understood what was required for meals or drinks The fire alarm went off at about 2am we were told it was a false alarm by the person who emerged from behind a private door in reception, and was told it was safe to go back in no fire brigade in attendance, at breakfast nexy day was told by fellow guest that it had happened the last time they had stayed. Not good. I would use this hotel again if they had the alarm cheched out and connected to the emergency services call out system

Everything was very good, except for a minor point only with the cleaning,- a tea stain on the skirting. The staff did everything to make our short stay a pleasure, well above the basic requirement. Only wish we could have stayed on longer. We had stayed at the Lampeter many years ago, about mid 1990s we think. The refurbishment is of a high standard and well designed. Well done, everyone.

Location brilliant you can walk straight into the park from hotel and beach is just short walk away,it was great to sit on the hotel balcony witha drink over looking the park. Very helpful staff
1. Sink & Toilet need updating (Bathroom) 2. Needed hook maybe on back of door to hang clothes in Bathroom 3. Would have been nice to have a full length mirror in room 4.TV too high on wall to watch in comfort unless lying down in bed. 5.We booked B & B with evening meal and were given a seperate menu which we felt had poor choice of food.

Great location, excellent, polite, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable and food very good. Free parking on grounds. The only thing that would be a problem for some people is that it backs onto Bournemouth Park and if you had a back room, like we did, the youths are very loud right up until about 5am. Apparently the Council aren't interested in trying to resolve the problem as they do not own the grounds - if something could be done about that, i.e. close the park at night, it would be even better.

R.Perry: I would rate this hotel as a very good 3 star hotel. it could not be 4 star as it doesn't have the facilities of a 4 star hotel for example: a spa room or pool, but during meals in the restaurant I asked for food items not on the menu and the staff and chef went to a lot of effort to meet my requests. The food was delicious (although not gourmet) and nicely presented and I would recommend this hotel for couples, business travellers and shoppers! the location is very good for Bournemouth beach and shops; it is literally a couple of minutes walk to both - you don't need to 'taxi' anywhere. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the hotel is clean and tidy. Parking is available and free which is always a bonus. I would definately stay here again and this hotel is very good value for money. All of the above definately provides the reason why this hotel gets a consistent 8 out of 10 rating.
there was just two little niggles: 1). the showers need updating; they're a bit too slow with lack of pressure 2). there was a rowdy couple in the room above us that kept us awake until 3am which was not at all amusing but this was not really a fault of the hotel's.

Great location in the centre of Bournemouth. Hotel was brilliantly priced and spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. The Bistro is brilliant for coffee, lunch and evening meal. I stayed here whilst visiting my Son who is at uni. My husband couldn't make the trip but I certainly felt very comfortable staying on my own. I will definitely stay again.
I stayed on a Saturday night and my room overlooked the lovely park, however, the park was noisy with party goers during the night. (My son assures me that students were not responsible...) This was not the hotels fault of course and despite this, it would not stop me staying on a Saturday night again.

The service from all the staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpfull. The location was great over looking the gardens and close to everything Bournemouth has to offer. The resturant gave a very good choice and food was really good at a very competitive price. Will be going back again !

We chose the hotel as it was very close to the conference centre and the purpose of our visit was the pop concert being held on Sunday eveing.
The hot water for washing/bath/shower was tepid.

It was close to the beach and the restaurant attached to the hotel was brilliant
Our room was small, worn and very expensive, I have never felt so ripped off. Someone must be walking around with a big smile on their face with my money in their pocket
